A Culture Created by You
The students participating in AYUSA World Leaders summer program are carefully selected from across the U.S. as well as Germany, Japan, Brazil, France, Korea, Mexico, China, Thailand, Ecuador and more. As with any diverse group of high school students, you all encompass a wide range of interests and backgrounds but you also share a commitment to personal and intellectual growth as a way to become a future world leader.
By living together in UC Berkeley's dormitory, having classes and developing projects together, participating in social activities, and visiting cultural sites together, you will undoubtedly build lifelong friendships.
The friendships you create in this program will extend beyond the summer, as a feature of the AYUSA World Leaders curriculum is to develop and maintain a blog. This tool will allow you to continue to think and act globally in order to work toward peace and social justice with the peers you meet.
